About our appointments
We give appointment times such as 'arrival between 10 and 11am' and we contact the customer if there is any delay.
We politely ask customers to view our prices and T&Cs before the appointment. This is important because the engineer will ask for the customer's signature for two reasons:
- Confirmation of the start time, and
- To confirm acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

We also work closely with other trades such as electricians and plasterers. Whoever attends the customer's property will always be suitably qualified to carry out the work required.
What happens when the plumber visits?
All appointments are time-logged. The customer will be asked to provide a digital signature on the engineer's iPad when work commences (also accepting our T&Cs) and upon completion.
The engineers benefit from support by the office team, enabling them to get on with the work at a customer's property. The engineer will keep the customer fully informed of any issues arising. Sometimes these issues may affect the time and/or materials allocated to the job - and therefore, the cost. View our prices page for information.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work, by cash, cheque or debit card (no credit cards). The engineer will present a detailed invoice and can take on-site secure debit card payments.
Engineers attend appointments in company uniform and company van.
About our software system and customer records
Our bespoke software system integrates appointments, comprehensive records for each customer and property, communications etc, helping us to work efficiently from initial contact to final invoice, eg:
- History of previous work;
- Technical details about the boiler/central heating system;
- Photos (before/during/after) with engineer's comments;
- Advisory/engineer notes, as shown on the invoice.
- Information provided by the customer (eg parking, pets)
These notes save time and help to maintain continuity if a different engineer visits the property.
